Gibberellin A1 is a gibberellin plant hormone that regulates plant growth and development. Gibberellins are synthesized in the shoot apical meristem and transported to other parts of the plant, where they regulate cell division and elongation. Gibberellin A1 has been shown to have significant interactions with a variety of bacteria, including Escherichia coli, Bacillus subtilis, and Pseudomonas thuringiensis. It also interacts with plants, regulating the physiological response of leaves to abiotic stressors such as chilling or drought. The bound form of gibberellin A1 is acidic, while the free form is neutral or slightly basic.
