Description:
(S)-(+)-glycidyl butyrate is an immobilized chemical compound that has been shown to have a kinetic effect on pancreatic lipase and hydration. This compound was also found to enhance the chromatographic separation of epoxides. (S)-(+)-glycidyl butyrate is also used for the preparation of enzyme preparations, such as supercritical fluid extraction. This chemical is used as a test compound in immobilization studies. The chemical composition of (S)-(+)-glycidyl butyrate includes an acyl chain with two carbon atoms and two oxygen atoms, a carboxylic acid group, and a glycidylic acid group.
