Guanidine sulfamate is a fatty acid that is found in the form of its calcium salt. It is used as an additive for detergent compositions and other chemical products. Guanidine sulfamate is not toxic to Sprague-Dawley rats when administered at doses up to 10 g/kg, but it has been shown to have a high toxicity profile in mice. It has also been observed that guanidine sulfamate causes thermal expansion and can be used as a component of the space-spacing reaction mechanism.
