Description:
H-Glu(OBzl)-OH·HCl is an organic acid that is a hydrogen donor. It has been shown to form intramolecular hydrogen bonds with other molecules, such as alamethicin. H-Glu(OBzl)-OH·HCl has also been shown to have the ability to inhibit the growth of mouse tumors and increase their susceptibility to chemotherapy. The uptake of this molecule by tissues can be inhibited by diethyl ester and convulsant drugs. The molecular weight of this compound is 158.17 g/mol.
