Product Information

Name:
Alisol F
Controlled Product
Synonyms:
  • AlisolF
Description:

Alisol F is a potent inhibitor of the P-glycoprotein (P-gp) transporter. It has been shown to inhibit the uptake of natural and synthetic compounds into cells. Alisol F has also been found to have a hypoglycemic effect in rats, which may be due to its ability to inhibit glucose uptake into cells. Alisol F was shown to have potent inhibitory activity against cancer cells in vitro and in vivo, as well as an anti-inflammatory effect that may be due to its inhibition of tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α). Alisol F is chemically synthesized by reacting 2-(2′-aminoethyl)-3′,5′-dichloropropylsulfonyl chloride with 4-(dimethylamino)pyridine followed by hydrolysis and recrystallization. The chemical structure of Alisol F is similar to that of adriamycin, another chemotherapeutic agent used for cancer treatment
