Description:
Trifluoroacetyl-L-aminoethoxy-l-phosphonate is an ionizable amino acid derivative that has been studied for its ability to form micelles. The micelles are able to bind to and remove chloride ions from biological samples. This compound was found in the plasma of rats treated with fulminant hepatic failure. Trifluoroacetyl-L-aminoethoxy-l-phosphonate may be a useful biomarker for fulminant hepatic failure, as it is not found in healthy rats.
