Product Information
- H-Pro-Val-Asn-Phe-Lys-Leu-Leu-Ser-His-OH H-PVNFKLLSH-OH
Hemopressin is a natural amino acid sequence that is an antagonist of the CB1 cannabinoid receptor. It has been shown to reduce food intake in rats and to suppress appetite. Hemopressin may also be used for other medical purposes, such as for the treatment of obesity or for the prevention of eating disorders. Hemopressin is a peptide that can be synthesized from human, bovine, or porcine DNA sequences. The sequence of hemopressin contains Val-Asn-Phe-Lys-Leu-Leu-Ser-His, which is bound to a trifluoroacetate salt to stabilize it. This peptide can be produced heterologously by linking the hemopressin sequence with a cb1 receptor gene.
