Description:

2-Hydrazino-3-methylquinazolin-4(3H)-one is a model compound that has been investigated for its ability to be a substrate for oxidative metabolism in the liver. The blood samples were obtained from rats, and both intraperitoneal and intravenous injections were used to introduce the compound. Biochemical analyses of the blood samples revealed the presence of metabolites, including 2-hydrazino-3-methylquinazolin-4(3H)-one N2O2. A linear relationship between dose and concentration was observed during the analysis using LC/MS. This study shows that 2-hydrazino-3-methylquinazolin-4(3H)-one is metabolized by cytochrome P450 enzymes in vivo.
