3-Hydrazino-1,2-benzisothiazole 1,1-dioxide is an alkylene that has fungicidal properties. It is a carbon type of compound with an aromatic ring and a heterocyclic ring. 3-Hydrazino-1,2-benzisothiazole 1,1-dioxide belongs to the class of benzisothiazoles. It has been shown to be effective against certain fungi such as Aspergillus niger and Candida albicans by inhibiting the enzyme β-(1→3) glucan synthase in the mycelia stage of fungi. 3-Hydrazino-1,2-benzisothiazole 1,1-dioxide can also be used for the treatment of dandruff and seborrheic dermatitis.
