Description:

3-(2-Hydroxyethyl)quinazoline-2,4(1H,3H)-dione is a heterocyclic compound that acts as an alkylating agent. It is used in the synthesis of other compounds, such as 2-Cyano-6-methylpyridine and 2-Cyano-5,6-dimethylpyridine. 3-(2-Hydroxyethyl)quinazoline-2,4(1H,3H)-dione can be brominated with NBS to form 3-(2-Bromoethyl)quinazoline. This compound may also be allylated with allyl bromide to produce 3-(Allyloxyethyl)quinazoline.
