Description

N-(2-Hydroxypropyl)-2-methyl-2-propenamide is a reactive chemical that can form conjugates with biological molecules. It has been shown to have cell specific activity, which may be due to its ability to bind to receptor proteins. This chemical has been shown to inhibit the growth of solid tumours in rats, and is also found in biocompatible polymers and pharmacological agents. N-(2-Hydroxypropyl)-2-methyl-2-propenamide is also used in the synthesis of copolymers for use as a 5-HT receptor agonist.
