Description:
2-Hydroxy-4-hydrazinopyrimidine is a potential analog of the nucleoside 4-amino-2-chloropyrimidine. It has shown to be an active inhibitor of bacterial growth in vitro and in vivo, with a low efficiency. 2-Hydroxy-4-hydrazinopyrimidine is cytotoxic to mammalian cells at high concentrations, but not to bacterial cells.
