- Givinostat
Givinostat is a histone deacetylase inhibitor that has been shown to be effective in treating bowel disease. Givinostat is a potent inducer of the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and may be used to treat cancer cells by inhibiting their growth. It has also been shown to have an inhibitory effect on Jak2 v617f, which is associated with some types of leukemia. Givinostat can also be used as an inhibitor of polymeric conjugation reactions, such as those that produce tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α).
