Description:

1-Hydroxycyclohexyl)(4-methoxyphenyl)acetonitrile (1HCHP) is a nitrile that is used as a catalyst in organic reactions. It has been shown to be an effective metal catalyst for reactions involving hydroxyl groups, such as the Raney reaction, and alkylamine. The presence of both hydroxyl groups and nitrile groups on 1HCHP make it a good substrate for hydrogen bonds. In addition, 1HCHP can form dimers in solution, which has been shown to have implications for its use as a catalyst.
