Product Information
1,6-Hexanediol ethoxylate diacrylate is an organic acid that has been used as a tailing agent in hydrophilic interaction chromatography. The asymmetry of the functional groups on the molecule allows it to bind to the stationary phase and provide a high surface area for adsorption of analytes. The functional groups also allow for significant cytotoxicity when they are incorporated into coatings. This compound is also used in the synthesis of polymers with reactive groups, such as polyurethanes, epoxy resins and other thermosetting resins. Polymerization is initiated by azobisisobutyronitrile (AIBN) and heated to 160 °C for 24 hours. 1,6-Hexanediol ethoxylate diacrylate reacts with naphthalene at room temperature to form dipole molecules that are then separated by chromatography.br>br>
