Hyaluronidase from Ovine Testes (sheep) is a proteolytic enzyme that has been used to treat myocardial infarct. It is also used in the study of biological functions, such as plant physiology and prostate cancer cells. Hyaluronidase from Ovine Testes (sheep) has been shown to have hemolytic activity and asymmetric molecular weight distribution. The enzyme shows high levels of activity at pH 7.5, with an optimum temperature of 40°C. It has been shown to be inhibited by monoclonal antibodies, including K3 and K4, which are specific for the ABO blood group system. Hyaluronidase from Ovine Testes (sheep) may cause allergic reactions in individuals who are sensitive to animal proteins. The enzyme is also not active under acidic conditions and requires a neutral pH for activity.
