Description:
Homoegonol is a natural compound that has been shown to have inhibitory properties against the growth of cells. It also inhibits the production of DNA and RNA by binding to the enzyme DNA-dependent RNA polymerase. Homoegonol has been shown to be genotoxic in vitro at high concentrations, but not at low concentrations. This drug has also been found to inhibit cell proliferation in bronchial epithelial cells and MCF-7 breast cancer cells. In addition, this compound has been shown to have anti-inflammatory effects by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis.
