Description

N-(2-Hydroxyethyl)pyrrolidine is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that acts on the body's cyclooxygenase pathway. It has been shown to be effective in treating inflammatory diseases, such as autoimmune diseases and eye disorders. N-(2-Hydroxyethyl)pyrrolidine inhibits prostaglandin synthesis by blocking the conversion of arachidonic acid to prostaglandins and thromboxanes. The drug also has potent analgesic properties, which have been shown in experimental models for various pain states and at different doses. This compound is used to treat arthritis, fever, muscle aches, and toothache.
