5-Hydroxy-1H-indole-3-carbaldehyde is a potent anti-infective agent that inhibits the growth of bacteria. It has been shown to inhibit the production of the hepg2 cell line, which is a human hepatoma cell line. 5-Hydroxy-1H-indole-3-carbaldehyde also has nmr spectroscopic data and nmr spectra. The chemical structure of this compound consists of a hydroxy group and an indole ring. This antibiotic also has potent inhibitory activity against infectious diseases, such as bacterial infections and plant disease.
