Product Information
1-Hexyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride is a non-volatile ionic liquid that has been used as an electrolyte in electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. It has also been shown to be able to sustain constant pressure for a period of time. 1-Hexyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride undergoes structural analysis by XRD and FTIR, which show the presence of both hydroxyl groups and chloride ions. It is soluble in water and organic solvents, which makes it useful for wastewater treatment. The ionic liquid undergoes analytical methods such as constant temperature, differential scanning calorimetry, and thermal expansion measurements. 1-Hexyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride can be prepared by reacting sodium carbonate with 3-(1'-hexyl) imidazole. This reaction mechanism is shown by synchronous fluorescence spectroscopy.
