It is soluble in water and organic solvents, which makes it useful for wastewater treatment. The ionic liquid undergoes analytical methods such as constant temperature, differential scanning calorimetry, and thermal expansion measurements. 1-Hexyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride can be prepared by reacting sodium carbonate with 3-(1'-hexyl) imidazole. This reaction mechanism is shown by synchronous fluorescence spectroscopy.
