Description

Hexakis(hexyloxy)triphenylene is a molecule that has a hexagonal-shaped molecular structure. It is colorless, odorless, and soluble in organic solvents. Hexakis(hexyloxy)triphenylene has been shown to be able to transfer phase transition temperatures from the gas phase to the condensed phase. The diameter of this molecule is approximately 0.5 nm and its gold nanoparticles have diameters of about 4 nm. The melting temperature for Hexakis(hexyloxy)triphenylene is about 175 degrees Celsius and it can be used as an electron acceptor in aluminum oxide nanowires at high temperatures (around 400 degrees Celsius). Furthermore, Hexakis(hexyloxy)triphenylene has been shown to exhibit optical properties that depend on its morphology.
