Description:

Hosenkoside F is a saponin that has been shown to have anti-inflammatory effects in vivo and in vitro. The bioassay results have shown that Hosenkoside F is a potent inhibitor of leukocyte chemotaxis, with an IC50 of 0.1 μg/mL. In addition, Hosenkoside F has also been shown to inhibit the production of prostaglandins in animal models, which may be due to its ability to bind cyclooxygenase and decrease the levels of arachidonic acid. Hosenkoside F has also been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties in mice models by inhibiting the inflammatory response caused by carrageenan injection. This compound also inhibits the release of TNF-α from human monocytes and IL-6 from LPS-stimulated mouse macrophages.
