Description:

Heptafluoro-2-Nitrosopropane is a low temperature chemical that can be used as an oxime. It has been shown to react with bisulphite, an anion, yielding a ketone and sequence. Heptafluoro-2-Nitrosopropane is also water soluble and is a reagent for perfluoroacetone. It has been shown to react with sulphite, which yields the corresponding sulphate ion at low temperatures. Heptafluoro-2-Nitrosopropane has a yield of approximately 64% when reacted with fluorine gas and oxone in the presence of water at 0°C.
