Description:

2-Hydroxy-4-(Trifluoromethyl)Aniline is a pesticide that has been shown to be effective against the fungus "Aspergillus niger". This compound is metabolized by cytochrome P450 enzymes into a number of metabolites, including hydroxylated 2-hydroxy-4-(trifluoromethyl)aniline and 4-(trifluoromethyl)-2-nitrobenzoic acid. These active metabolites have been shown to inhibit the activity of cyhalothrin, an insecticide. The products of this reaction are known to be catabolic intermediates in the catabolism of 2-hydroxy-4-(trifluoromethyl)aniline.
