Product Information
5-Chloro-1H-1,3-benzodiazole-7-carboxylic acid (5CBDCA) is a nitrogenous organic compound that has affinity for the 5HT4 receptor. It has been shown to be a potent serotonin receptor ligand in vitro and in vivo. In addition, it has been shown to have a strong affinity for the 5HT4 receptors. It is also an agonist of the 5HT3 receptors and binds to the 5HT1A receptor. 5CBDCA has been shown to inhibit nitric oxide production through its antagonistic effects on the enzyme nitric oxide synthase (NOS). The molecular modeling of this molecule has also revealed that it contains an azabicyclic ring system with one nitrogen atom at its center.
