Product Information

Name:
Benzothiazole
Description:

Benzothiazole is a compound that has been shown to inhibit the activity of the apoptosis pathway. It has been found to be effective against natural compounds, such as amoebicidal activity and antiinflammatory activity, but not against infectious diseases. Benzothiazole is also a fluorescence probe for coordination geometry and receptor activity, which can be used in vitro assays to study the coordination geometry and receptor-ligand binding properties of benzothiazole. It has been found that benzothiazole causes an increase in nuclear DNA fragmentation, which is associated with increased cell death rates. In addition, benzothiazole shows low toxicity in vitro studies and is non-cytotoxic at concentrations up to 10 μM. The rate constant for benzothiazole has also been determined through electrochemical impedance spectroscopy.
