(2-{[(1S,2R)-2-{[4-(Methylsulfanyl)benzoyl]amino}cyclohexyl]amino}-N-(2-((isopropylcarbamoyl)amin o)-2-oxoethyl)-5-(trifluoromethyl)benzamide is a chemokine receptor antagonist that blocks the activation of chemokine receptors by binding to them and preventing the binding of chemokines to these receptors. It has been shown to inhibit matrix metalloproteinase and chemotactic protein production in prostate cancer cells. This drug also inhibits signaling pathways that are activated by tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNFα), which may be useful in the treatment of cancers such as prostate cancer.
