Description

2-(4-Isopropylphenoxy)acetohydrazide is a compound that can be used as an antibiotic. It has been shown to have synergistic antibacterial activity with other antibiotics such as methicillin and penicillin. 2-(4-Isopropylphenoxy)acetohydrazide inhibits the growth of bacteria by binding to bacterial ribosomes and inhibiting protein synthesis. This compound also has anti-inflammatory properties, which may be due to its ability to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis. 2-(4-Isopropylphenoxy)acetohydrazide has not been tested on humans, but it has been shown in animal studies that this drug can cause developmental toxicity and cellular toxicity.
