4-Isopropoxybenzoyl chloride is a chemical compound that belongs to the group of analgesics. It is an analog of acetylsalicylic acid and is used in the treatment of pain. 4-Isopropoxybenzoyl chloride inhibits the production of prostaglandins and has been shown to be effective in reducing neuropathic pain. This drug has also been shown to increase the production of natural opioids, which may lead to its effectiveness for relieving chronic pain. Clinical trials have also demonstrated that 4-isopropoxybenzoyl chloride has a high safety profile and little potential for addiction or abuse.
