Description:
2-(1H-Imidazol-1-yl)acetamide is a water-soluble drug that can be encapsulated in polymer particles. It is soluble in organic solvents and has a low melting point. This drug is also biodegradable and can be encapsulated with biodegradable polymers, such as polylactic acid (PLA), to produce particles. 2-(1H-Imidazol-1-yl)acetamide has been found to have antiplasmodial activity against the parasite Plasmodium falciparum, which causes malaria.
