Description:
1-Isopropylpyrrolidine is a synthetic, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug which has been shown to be effective in the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease. It inhibits the production of chemokines and other inflammatory cytokines. The mechanism of 1-isopropylpyrrolidine action is not well understood. One study has shown that it binds to the CCR5 receptor, which plays a role in HIV infection; however, its precise mechanism of action is unknown. 1-Isopropylpyrrolidine has also been shown to have anticancer activity in cell culture models and may be used as an adjuvant therapy for cancer patients. It can be used in conjunction with other drugs such as hydrochloric acid and amines for protein inhibitors.
