Description:
1-(1H-Imidazol-2-yl)ethanone is a molecule that binds to the cell factor and inhibits the growth of mammalian cells. It also inhibits glycogen synthase kinase-3, which has been implicated in insulin resistance and cancer. The carbonyl group allows for binding to hydrochloric acid and amide groups. This compound has shown inhibitory effects on cervical cancer cells.
