Indium trinitrate (ITN) is a chemical compound that is also known as hydrogen indium nitrate. ITN has a chemical stability in the hydroxide solution and can be activated with sodium or potassium dichromate. The reaction of ITN with malic acid results in the formation of malonic acid, which can be used to synthesize polymers. ITN has been shown to have cytotoxic effects on liver cells, which may be due to its ability to generate reactive oxygen species. Structural analysis of ITN has been done using particle, oxide and zirconium oxide methods, as well as electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. The morphology of ITN is amorphous with no crystal structure observed.
