Isoxazole-5-carboxylic acid is a heterocyclic compound that contains an isoxazole ring with a cycloaliphatic side chain. This synthetic chemical is used as a synthon for peptidomimetics, and has been shown to have ethyl group, propiolic acid, and pyrazole ring in its chemical formula. It also has a chloride substituent on the β-unsaturated ketone group.
