Product Information
- 3-Isopropoxyazetidin
- Azetidine, 3-(1-Methylethoxy)-
3-Isopropoxy-azetidine is a process development candidate that has shown efficacy in clinical trials for autoimmune diseases. This compound has been developed to optimize the synthetic process of 3-isopropoxy-azetidine and to synthesize 3-isopropoxy-azetidine in kilogram quantities. The synthesis of these compounds is accomplished through a transition from the current synthetic route, which requires five steps, to a more efficient two step synthesis. The first step involves the preparation of an aziridinium salt from acetone and acetic acid, followed by hydrolysis to produce 3-isopropoxy-azetidine. This process has been demonstrated to be 100% selective and efficient with no side products detected.
