Description:
Isopropyl dodecanoate is a fatty acid that is used as a control agent in chemical compositions. It has been shown to inhibit the production of tyrosinase, an enzyme involved in the synthesis of melanin, by binding to the active site of this enzyme. Isopropyl dodecanoate also possesses radical scavenging activities and genotoxic effects. It is not genotoxic itself but can react with other compounds in the body to form genotoxic substances.
