This substance has been shown to be an inhibitor of Ras and RhoA, which are GTPases involved in cell signaling pathways. 4-Isopropoxycarbonylphenylboronic acid has also been shown to inhibit the activity of several other GTPases, including Rac1, Cdc42, and Cdc25.
