Description:
1-Iodo-2-methoxynaphthalene is a phosphine ligand that reacts with chiral metal catalysts to form biaryl compounds. The reaction is catalytic, asymmetric, and can be used in the synthesis of bromophenols. It is also used for the synthesis of other organic compounds. 1-Iodo-2-methoxynaphthalene absorbs ultraviolet light at 253 nm and has been shown to have high reactivity with halides such as chloride, iodide, and bromide.
