Description:

2-Iodopyrazine is an anti-cancer agent that belongs to the class of adenosine receptor antagonists. It has been shown to have a potent inhibitory effect on cancer cells. 2-Iodopyrazine has been shown to inhibit the growth of skin cancer when used in conjunction with redox potentials. This drug also has strong antimicrobial activity against infectious diseases such as tuberculosis, although it is not active against HIV or malaria. 2-Iodopyrazine can be used for the treatment of metabolic disorders such as picolinic aciduria and fatty acid oxidation disorders. The drug is also effective against neurological diseases such as Parkinson's disease and epilepsy.
