1-Isopropylpyrazole is a heterocyclic compound that belongs to the five-membered pyrazole class. It has been shown to form hydrates, solvates, and polymorphs. 1-Isopropylpyrazole can be synthesized by reacting benzene with ethylene oxide followed by pyrolysis of the obtained product. The linear regression equation for this reaction is Y = -0.0135X + 0.5395, where X is the logarithm of moles of benzene and Y is the logarithm of yield in grams per mole of benzene. The yields for this reaction are dependent on the temperature of pyrolysis, with higher temperatures yielding better yields.
