Description

Imidazo[1,5-a]pyridine-7-carboxylic acid is a pyridine-7-carboxylic acid that has been shown to inhibit the proliferation of abnormal cells, such as cancer cells. It also inhibits the production of prostaglandins and leukotrienes and has anti-inflammatory properties. Imidazo[1,5-a]pyridine-7-carboxylic acid is used for the treatment of inflammation and cancer in humans. This drug can be used orally or topically for the treatment of inflammatory skin diseases. Imidazo[1,5-a]pyridine-7-carboxylic acid is also known by its trade name as Auranofin.
