(1H-INDAZOL-3-YL)-ACETIC ACID is a reactive ligand that has been shown to bind to aryloxyalkyl groups, water molecules, and aminoacetic esters. In vivo studies have shown that this compound can be used to esterify carboxylate anions. The crystal x-ray diffraction of the (1H-INDAZOL-3-YL)-ACETIC ACID molecule has revealed bidentate binding. This compound has been shown to inhibit bacterial growth by disrupting their cell membranes and respiratory diseases by inhibiting enzymes that are involved in the synthesis of rhodopsin.
