Product Information
- 5-Iodo-1,3-Dihydro-Indol-2-One
- 5-Iodoindolin-2-One
5-Iodoindolin-2-one is a radioiodinated amino acid that has been used in biodistribution studies to monitor the distribution of tyrosine kinase inhibitors. 5-Iodoindolin-2-one can be labeled with technetium or indium and used as a radiotracer to study the distribution of these drugs in mice. The drug is taken up by tissues and organs, such as the kidney, where it accumulates. The uptake of 5-Iodoindolin-2-one may be due to the presence of factor receptors on cells. It is also possible that 5-Iodoindolin-2-one binds to growth factors and inhibits their activity, leading to decreased tumour growth.
