Product Information
3-Iodo-5-(trifluoromethyl)aniline is a transition metal catalyst that selectively catalyzes the C-H insertion of alkyl groups. This reaction is used to produce divalent hydrocarbons from univalent hydrocarbons. 3-Iodo-5-(trifluoromethyl)aniline is also a transition metal catalyst that selectively catalyzes the C-H insertion of alkyl groups. This reaction is used to produce divalent hydrocarbons from univalent hydrocarbons. The transition metal catalyst is prepared by treating a solution of 3-iodo-5-(trifluoromethyl)aniline with sodium tetrakis (pentafluoroethyl)borate and copper(II) chloride in anhydrous diethyl ether.
