Product Information
- N-(3-Indoleacetyl)-DL-aspartic acid
N-(3-Indolylacetyl)-DL-aspartic acid is a natural compound that inhibits the growth of opportunistic fungal and cancer cells. It is synthesized from aspartic acid in the presence of indole-3-acetic acid. This process is regulated by transcription factors and regulatory proteins. N-(3-Indolylacetyl)-DL-aspartic acid has been shown to inhibit the growth of cryptococcus neoformans, a fungus that causes opportunistic infections in immunosuppressed patients. It also inhibits the uptake of fatty acids and plant oligosaccharides, which may be due to its inhibition of phospholipase A2 activity.
