Description

Isoetarine is a bronchodilator. It is believed to work by opening up the airways in the lungs and relaxing the muscles that surround them. Isoetarine is used to treat chronic pulmonary obstructive disease, bronchial asthma, and emphysema. Isoetarine can also be used as a nebulized medication for people with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease or asthma, who cannot breathe well enough on their own. This drug has been shown to improve ventilatory function in patients with congestive heart failure and diastolic pressure, which may be due to its ability to inhibit camp levels and reduce the workload of the heart.
