Isochlorogenic acid C (ICC) is a natural compound that belongs to the group of chlorogenic acids. It has been shown to stimulate epidermal growth factor, which may lead to an increase in the production of proteins that are involved in wound healing. ICC has also been shown to inhibit the transcription-polymerase chain reaction and epidermal growth factor receptor. ICC can be used as an anti-diabetic agent due to its hypoglycemic effect on H9c2 cells in vitro. This compound has been shown to have a matrix effect on human skin cells, inhibiting the proliferation of these cells in culture.
