Inotilone is a natural compound with the ability to inhibit the activity of enzymes. It has been shown to have anti-cancer effects by inhibiting the activity of enzymes that are involved in cancer development. Inotilone inhibits tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) and prostaglandin E2 levels in mouse models of myeloid leukemia, which may be associated with its ability to reduce light exposure. Inotilone binds to specific enzyme active sites, thereby blocking their function. This binding causes conformational changes in the enzyme that lead to an inactive product and inhibition of cell proliferation.
