1-(5-Iodonaphthalene-1-sulfonyl)-1H-hexahydro-1,4 -diazepine, hydrochloride (IDP) is a matrix metalloproteinase inhibitor that has been shown to inhibit the activity of neutrophil elastase and myosin phosphatase. It also blocks the release of inflammatory cells from the bone marrow by inhibiting the function of neutrophil elastase and matrix metalloproteinases. IDP is used as a regulatory agent in analytical methods.
